The modern milkhouse designed by James Boyd of the Michigan Agricultural Experiment Station features ventilation to reduce moisture, a sheltered porch, a removable door casing for large equipment, and ample space for milk cooling. Plans are free from the Farm Building Plan Service at Michigan State College East Lansing, with ten cents for bulk copies. Plans for a vestibule type milkhouse are also available.
