Mrs Amelia Stratton Dies at Farwell Home
Mrs Amelia Stratton formerly of Riley Michigan dies at home in Farwell on June 27 1946. She was born March 21 1872 to Marcus and Alice Taylor became a United Brethren member at eighteen and married Rev William Stratton December 15 1900. Survivors include son Royal Stratton daughter Mrs Homer Stinchcombe two stepdaughters six grandchildren and six step grandchildren. Funeral at Warwell Methodist Church with Rev Charles Hahn officiating. Interment Maple Grove Cemetery Charlotte.

Donna Badger Becomes Clare County Cadet Nurse Graduate
Donna J. Badger daughter of Mr and Mrs Walter Badger Farwell became the first Clare County girl to sign as a Cadet Nurse and graduate from Saginaw General Hospital on Thursday June 27. She studied at Surrey Agricultural High School class of 1942 and entered nursing school at Saginaw General after signing up in June 1943 while at U of M Hospital. A reception followed at Anderson Hall as her parents and sister Priscilla and Opal attended. She plans a week at home before returning to Saginaw General as a graduate nurse and will live by the Florence Nightingale Pledge in her career.
