Power loss affected 4,475 Consumers Power customers across Gladwin and Clare counties for about two hours after a substation transformer near Oberlin was shot. A cooling fan was punctured, causing overheating and internal damage. Repairs could cost up to 50,000 if replacement is required. a portable transformer was brought from Saginaw.
