Michigan fish program to raise license fees and expand access

Michigan's Conservation Department argues for higher fishing licenses to fund a growing program. Proposals include raising resident licenses to four dollars and nonresidents to six, replacing 15 day licenses with a three day option, and creating a three dollar trout and salmon license for all anglers. Great Lakes licensing would also extend to all fishermen, with equities noted between anglers and hunters.
