Sunday School members enjoyed a fellowship supper and social hour at Orr School on Friday January 13. The Missionary Society held a brief business meeting led by president Mixsi Susan Weadge and the study meeting was held with prayer service. Rev Harold Smith attended the Saginaw Zone Preachers Meeting in Saginaw.

Blue Cross Announces Rate Increase For 1956 Plans
State Insurance Commissioner Joseph A Navarre approves the new Blue Cross rates effective March 1 1956 William S McNary executive VP of Michigan Hospital Service says the monthly cost for group hospital coverage rises 33 cents for single subscribers and 1 14 for two person and full family contracts averaging a 15 percent increase in Blue Cross portion No change in surgical or medical surgical rates Blue Shield coverage remains at 97 percent of members Costs per hospital day have risen from 18 03 in 1950 to an estimated 26 21 in 1955 and nationwide hospital costs show a 45 percent rise since 1950 based on a 21 hospital survey.
