Funeral services held for PFC Steve Laverty Farwell
More than 300 attended the Monday morning service for Steve L. J. Laverty of Farwell killed in action in Vietnam on December 31 1970. The burial followed at Gilmore Township Cemetery. Laverty served in Company A 2nd Battalion 1st Infantry 32nd Infantry Division. He is survived by his mother Harold O Whaley stepfather two brothers a sister and four grandparents. Donations favor the PFC Steve Laverty Memorial Fund to support Clare Osteopathic Hospital equipment.
