McKenna Chairs Clare County Board of Commissioners

Mark McKenna was selected chairman of the Clare County Board of Commissioners at a regular meeting. Tom Bradley was chosen as chairman pro tem. The board vetoed a sheriff request to buy a four wheel drive emergency vehicle citing cost and priority for a patrol car.

Mardi Gras DeSnow planned for Clare snowmobilers

Clare's Mardi Gras DeSnow runs Feb 18 to 27 as a 10 day winter festival for family snowmobilers. The Clare Chamber of Commerce sponsors. information HQ opens Feb 11 at the chamber office. Safaris, races, parades, windows painting, and a King and Queen dance mark daily activities across Shamrock Lake, Twin Elms, and downtown.
