Judge Ray Hart files for re election in Midland district

Auto license plates deadline set for February first
The state announces the 1935 auto license plates must be purchased by February 1. Trailers over 3000 pounds are exempt from the ruling. Brown acting as secretary of state extended the deadline up to sixty days. Previous years saw March 1 as the limit. The 1933 trailer brake law requires brakes operable by the driver on trailers over 3000 pounds, making 1934 trailer plates invalid after December 31, 1934.

Farmers begin clearing 120 acre Clare County tract
Bryan Miller of Arthur has bought 130 acres from the William H. Caple farm northeast of Looms and will clear it for pasture sod. Lewis and Horace Fancon acquire another 120 acres from the same farm with plans to clear timber and brush. Federal Land Bank foreclosures funded both purchases as Michigan November farm sales total 21 and the 7th Farm Credit district 72 for 1934.

Hthyl Ann Irwin born in Parnell April 20 1929 died after brief illness Thursday December 27 in Flint. She was survived by parents Mr and Mrs Everett Irwin two sisters Mildred and Barbara Jean grandparents Mr and Mrs Aaron Irwin and Mr and Mrs Arthur Wilson and many other relatives. She was described as a winsome child and the family notes the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. A brief service was held Thursday.
