Annie Feighner Passes Peacefully After Long Illness
Annie Feighner born July 19 1854 in Napanee Ontario lived in Clare since 1875. She married Jeremiah V Feighner in 1875 and had five children. Survived by three sons and their families, she died last Monday and was laid to rest at Cherry Grove with services by Rev Albert Dawe.

Jennings Archambault, local State Farm agent in Bloomington Illinois, earned a free trip to the Chicago convention by new business written in 1936. The gathering at Hotel Sherman drew 2000 agents and wives from 87 states plus the District of Columbia. Mrs. Sarah Morrison of Saginaw died Saturday in Saginaw General Hospital after a long illness. Funeral services were held Monday at Clare Methodist Church with interment in Cherry Grove beside her parents. She was born in Grant township in 1893 and married William Morrison in 1913. Survived by husband, two daughters Mrs. Hard Carl and Marilyn, a sister in Clare, and many relatives.

Last Wednesday the Holbrook home hosted the Ladies Auxiliary for a Valentine day gathering with red hearts and decorative tables. Mrs. James Gillespie and Mrs. C. C. Harris co hosted, Mrs. Mulder spoke on the Rosary, followed by singing and games. Twenty six members attended a three course luncheon served by Mrs. Harris and others. Guests included Mrs. Garter Mrs. Andrus and Mrs. Chas Stirling. Birthday dinner in the church Sparlors Friday evening was a success, credit to Mrs. Mulder and committees. Meeting planned for March 3 with Mrs Nat Smith.

Wise township to dedicate new townhall in March event
The Wise township at Léomia will dedicate its new townhall Tuesday night March 2. Supervisor Chas Jamphete says a get-together will follow with a pot luck supper and invited public. Dr Frank Bicknell Returns From World Trip
Dr Frank Bicknell arrived Saturday for a visit with his parents after a world tour that began last July. He spent months in Germany at St Hedwig and Pflaumer clinic in Nurnberg and a month at SS Peter and Paul's hospital in London. He trained at the University of Michigan and Detroit Receiving Hospital before his travels and plans to practice in Detroit after the visit.

Local three-vehicle crash leaves woman injured in Clare
Week sees three accidents in the area. A bolt loosening on a cattle truck near Clare caused the left front wheel to detach and spill the load but no cattle were hurt. At Seventh and Pine streets Mrs. J W Siel suffered injuries after a two car collision and was taken to Clare General hospital. she is recovering at home.

Auto Crash Near Vernon Hill Injures Gladwin Man
Andrew Moke of Gladwin sustained head lacerations three broken ribs and a fractured knee cap after his car struck the rear of Maurice Jaggers car on Vernon Hill at about 10 15 p m Wednesday night. Jaggers and Howard Richter escaped injury. Moke was hospitalized at Clare County General Hospital.
