Police Trial Breath Alcohol Test For Drivers
East Lansing Michigan State Police began a three month pilot study using a new type intoximeter to analyze breath samples from suspected drunk drivers. Five devices were obtained with two placed at the East Lansing post for local testing. Officers were trained by Dr Glenn Forrester of Niagara Falls New York, and the test is voluntary while indicating intoxication levels and protecting innocent individuals.

Four Clare High School seniors Bill Corsaut Sue Myers Ruth Anne Smith and Sara Logge will join about 150 top seniors at Central Michigan University's eighth annual High School Honors Day on February 25.
