Clare High School band members ready solos and ensembles for the Solo and Ensemble Contest in Farwell today. Young Clare Girl Pam McCluskey Dies of Leukemia
Eight year old Pam McCluskey of Clare, living now in Plainville Kansas, died Friday after battling leukemia. She had been in the hospital three days. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon. She is survived by her parents Mr and Mrs Lawrence McCluskey and one sister Sylvia Sue.

At Lake on Sunday J B Gilman cast a fish onto the ice as his dog Rover chased it and Mrs Gilman rescued the fish ending the chase. Burglary Report At Anderson's Drug Store
A break in at Anderson's Drug Store Saturday night left the rear door pried open and glass broken but no theft reported. Police found the intruder had apparently fled in fear and said there are no leads. In a separate matter, Wilson and Mary Sharp were fined for curfew violations after 11 pm, with Mrs. Sharp's fine suspended.

Banquet For Fathers at Clare Methodist Tonight

Two New Bus Drivers At CHS
Harold Schaeffer began driving school bus No. 4 in Clare Public Schools to serve the north Clare area. The Clare native also runs Schaeffer's Dairy Bar and has long been active in local youth activities. He succeeds Floyd Lyle starting February 7, 1955. Mike Salbert was hired to drive school bus No. 1 and to fill in as relief, replacing Floyd Woodworth who resigned.

Open House for H B Johnsons 50th Anniversary
Rey and Mrs H B Johnson longtime Congregational pastor in Clare will be honored at an open house in the Belding Congregational Church on February 13 from 3 to 5 PM celebrating their Golden Wedding anniversary. The host group plans to send them to Florida for a month with expenses and transportation paid as an anniversary gift. During their pastorate the church membership doubled redecorated and interior debt eliminated. No formal invitations are required.
