The committee released a near complete list of children who drew silver dollar weekly prizes, along with a long list of adult prize winners for a five dollar daily trade certificate.
Older residents indoors in winter face common injuries: bruises and fractures from falls and burns from heating stoves. Dr. E. J. Bremner, County Health Director, urges heightened home hazard awareness and precautions in Central Michigan areas using circulating type stoves.
Clare Public Schools adult education opens the week of January 10 with courses in knitting typing welding sewing and cake decorating. A $3.50 fee per student and a minimum ten registrants apply. Classes meet 7:30 p.m. at the high school for 10 weeks except cake decorating which runs 6 weeks.
