Eagle News extends condolences to the Penrose family on the death of Howard Penrose who died Christmas Day. Funeral services are Thursday at 2 p.m. at Eagle Church with nightly services January 2 through 14 led by evangelist Rev. Ray Davis of Pippus Indiana.
Christmas at the Stough residence brought together Mr and Mrs John Stough and extended family from Jonesville and nearby towns. Relatives included Reanna Tice home from Graceland College Iowa and James Gingery from Saginaw. Other visits spanned Dearborn Shepherd and Lansing with extended kin from Columbus Ohio and Holt.
Social notes recount Miss Jean White’s three upcoming showers ahead of her December 30 wedding. November event in Battle Creek hosted by Mrs. Judy Coleman and Miss Sara Wood drew 17 guests. Bonnie Cerny also hosted a miscellaneous shower December 17, with twelve guests. a December 18 kitchen shower at Mrs. J R Gershon’s home had 21 guests.
The Andersonville 4-H group meeting was called to order by Kirk Vogal and pledges were given. Treasury reports $104,00. The last winter project was turned in. Members will bring ten cents to each meeting for a future trip. NEXT: Nivylsons sponsor the next 4-H party the first Saturday in January. everyone invited.
