Mrs Minnie Reed Rites Held After Lansing Death
Mrs Minnie Reed of Lansing died Monday in a local hospital and was buried in Clare cemetery after being brought there Thursday. Family and relatives, including Mr and Mrs Donald McKinnon and children of Detroit, gathered for Christmas at the homes of Alex McKinnon and A J Doherty. Al Perry hosted Christmas guests Vern Oelberg and family, Jack Rube and family, Paul Erchman and two children, Jack Hemstreet and family, and Robert Perry. Oelberg and daughter visited Virginia Oelberg at Saginaw country hospital that afternoon.

The Glare Methodist Church School staged its Christmas program on Sunday afternoon. Mrs Donald Holbrook opened with The First Noel and prayer. Helen Maxwell introduced departments and children performed songs, plays, and a pageant followed by a gift offering for the Children’s Home. Santa distributed treats to the youngsters.
