Christmas Echoes From Hatton Neighbors Needing A New Home
A nostalgic Hatton note recalls neighbors moving to Detroit for work at Ford, Clare to be near parents, and others relocating. It mentions Silas Brown’s leg injury, a resident’s three contract pepper purchase, Chas Kleinhardt acquiring Hamlin pony, and a comically described old Ford with crumbling parts offered for trade. It closes with wishes for a merry Christmas and reflections on past times.
