Clare County notes show payrolls approved for July and August with state and county shares. Bids opened for Cedar River bridge and Church bridge. Clarence Randle awarded Cedar River contract pending bonds. Church bridge bids rejected except Wallace awarded after bonds. A special meeting of the Clare County Road Commissioners was held at the Ideal Theatre Clare with members Hutchinson Somerville and Asline present. A motion by Asline to accept the final estimate for Sheridan township road No 12 payable to contractor Floyd Alien was approved with Yeas Somerville Asline and Hutchinson and the acting clerk was instructed to proceed with payment.
Advise the County Clerk that when Mrs Geo Tryon of Detroit sends the deed for the acre of land on section 16 Lincoln township with order attached to the Harrison bank the county clerk is to pay 55 dollars and take up the deed. Adjourned a John White Acting Clerk.
The Harrison Michigan board met at the Court House at 10:00 A M with Hutchinson Asline and Somerville present. Minutes approved. They moved to have Charles Ford arrange repairs to the Moores Crossing road damaged by a tractor within five days or the work will be done and billed to Henry Ackerman. The superintendent is directed to buy mineral paint for the store shed and lead paint for the Marrison garage sash and woodwork excluding doors. Several bills were read and approved for supplies and services including Trampton Sheatrer Rawls Merell Dow White Wilkinson Clare Electric.
Board of Clare County Road Commissioners invites sealed bids for grading gravel drainage on three highway curve sites in Lincoln and Arthur townships. Bids due 1:00 PM CST September 1930 at County Clerk's office. plans at County Clerk. $50 certified check with each bid. all three jobs sold as one. right to reject bids. Alta plums ad follows.
