Mrs. Wm. H. Hubel of Clare died early Wednesday morning August 20 at her son Fred Hubel’s home. She was eighty six years three months sixteen days old. Born May 4 1844 in Lima Michigan she moved to Clare in 1881. Funeral Friday at her son’s home with Rev. W. W. Hurd officiating and burial in Cherry Grove cemetery. She leaves a son Bred Hubel grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Thirty one members of the White family gathered at Eight Point Jake for a Sunday outing and picnic dinner. The reunion grew from a suggestion during a visit by honored niece Mrs. Mary A Hale from Utah and included her two sons John and Arthur and two daughters Dorothy and Janet. Many relatives attended from Michigan, Iowa and Detroit with plans for an annual gathering despite missed attendance by Clyde and Arthur.
