Duane DD Wagberg of Milwaukee Wisconsin was named head coach for the Coleman Comets football team this fall. A Michigan native and former semi pro player he will also teach biology and general science while guiding football and basketball programs. He begins duties August 20 with player physicals and uniform distribution set for August 27.

The Clare Board of Education awarded contracts for lunch milk and school bus gasoline at a regular meeting. American Oil Company's Standard division bid 13.8 cents per gallon for gasoline while Schaeffer's Dairy won milk with 5.5 cents per unit for white milk and 7.5 cents for chocolate. Prices for athletic events rise next season with CHS football tickets at 1.00 for adults and 0.50 for students. junior varsity games at 0.50 and 0.25.

Airman First Class Larry D. Cole of Clare Michigan plays a pivotal role in NORAD Region maintenance for the SAGE computer system. He trained at IBM Kingston New York and now helps replace civilian experts in the 30th NORAD Region as the Air Force expands in house computer upkeep.
