Jack Rutter 28 a Clare resident died from a hunting rifle wound in his home. Authorities say he fired the weapon himself. nitrate tests show his hand on the trigger while his wife’s test was negative. Funeral planned at Clare Methodist Church with Dr. Virgil Brinkman officiating.

Robbery Try Fails at McGuire Brothers Farm Sale
Burglars failed to rob McGuire Brothers farm equipment and auto sales after attempting to force a door and entering through a broken window.
