Clare County Sheriff Posse Donates Time to Duty
The Clare County Sheriff's Posse provides over 2 600 volunteer hours yearly through 17 men who assist weekend patrols desk duties parade supervision and events. Formed in 1967 they meet monthly at the sheriff’s office and handle 24 hour on call duties with 300+ hours recently at the Clare County Fair in Harrison.

District Court Docket Faces Guilty Plea and Trials
District Court Judge Jon Ringelberg presided over twenty cases in Clare over three days in the 80th District Court. Defendants include Steven Wayne Pitts age 17 who pleaded not guilty to assault. Jack Beecher Hurst age 42 who pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license. Alfred J Frizzell 18 pleads not guilty to careless driving. John P McNally 22 and Inocencio Ruiz 24 plead guilty to reduced careless driving charges. Austin Charles Wood 19 pleads guilty to minor in possession. Richard E Martin 43 pleads not guilty to disorderly person. Robert D Heintzelman 25 stands mute on a suspended license. Darrel Lynn Town 21 pleads not guilty on a suspended license. Charles Congdon 17 pleads nolo contendere to careless driving. George M Hammond 20 pleads not guilty to non-support. Keith Obeard Anderson 20 pleads minor in possession and disorderly person with fines. Shirley Diane Hamp 36 had speeding charge dismissed. Glenia Tinch 54 pleads disorderly person. Phillip Robert Coryell 60 pleads guilty to disorderly person.
