Farwell Methodist Women Study Spanish Speaking Americans
The Farwell Methodist Women’s Society of Christian Service met at the church on Thursday evening August 2. President Mrs. Walter Badger led with Paul’s call to Prayer, followed by readings, devotion, and the “Purpose” recital. Mrs. Kerwin Parsens and Mrs. Herbert Rice chaired program duties, with a playlet by Mrs. Parsens and Mrs. Rice and slides on Mexico presented by Mrs. Allen Howard. They spoke of Mexican student Elizabeth Colli visiting for the coming school year. the meeting ended with prayer led by Mrs. Rice. Hostesses were Mrs. Charles Tryon and Mrs. Raymond Scott.

Sunday School and Worship Schedule With Community Events
The church announces Sunday School at 9 30 a m and Morning Worship at 10 30 a m plus Wednesday 9 30 a m. A Pink and Blue shower for Mrs Virginia Curtiss at the parsonage is sponsored by Prayer Groups. The church picnic returns last Sunday at the Tryon home and a August meeting at Raymond Scott home. World wide Communion Sunday October 7 features a District Superintendent visit and a Homecoming and Dedication program at First Church of Christ Gilmore with a pot luck and Keys and Vow of Dedication. Open House at the parsonage follows with Mortgage Burning Ceremony. All are welcome.
