One of the largest family reunions in Clare County was held at Lake George with 215 relatives and 50 friends. Activities included a Friday dancing party at Lake George Community Hall, a field Mass at the Mulcahy cottage, an ox roast, and a self serve cafeteria style meal. Officers were elected for next year and guests included Rev Fathers Morrison Tomaszewski and McGuinness along with letters from Governor Murphy.

Border Family Reunion at Budd Lake Draws 69 Guests

Misses Virginia and Betty Horton daughters of Mr and Mrs A H Horton fished Bailey Lake Monday. Their line jerked and they cried for help. Two nearby fishermen assisted and they landed a 22 inch pike. The line broke as they hauled it aboard but the fish landed in the boat.
