Clinton Case New Chairman Elected by Clare County Supervisors
Garfield township resident Clinton R. Case was elected chairman of the Clare County Board of Supervisors at the April session. The eight year board veteran succeeds Louis Becker, who served two terms. Case, longtime Garfield resident at Eight Point Lake, pledged humility and service to all county residents. He will join Arthur township's John Brubaker as chairman pro tem and will appoint standing committees to benefit Clare county communities.

Clare School District hails 9 mill levy and staff moves

PTA Will View Projects Elect Officers

Clare’s Senior Band earned a first division rating at the Michigan State Festival in Grand Rapids, performing at Riverside Junior High School amid 17 other bands. State awards road contracts in Clare Gladwin and Isabella counties
The State Highway Department announced bids awarded on April 7 for 25 projects statewide. In Clare county four fifths of a mile on Mannsiding Road at US-27 will be graded drained and paved by C R Hunt Construction Co for 234 505 with June 30 1966 completion. Gladwin county gets almost three miles of grading drainage and paving on Round Lake Road and Wildwood Shores Road with completion October 1. Isabella county has 1.09 miles of concrete widening and resurfacing on US-27 by T A Forsberg Inc and Eisenhour Construction for 275 559 with completion expected late fall.
