City Baseball Team Attends Eastern League Meeting in Mt Pleasant
Representatives from the City Baseball team joined teams from the Eastern League in Mt Pleasant for the first league meeting. Shephard was voted into the league bringing total teams to ten and a ten mile road limit for players was approved. The tourist park diamond was completed and players asked to bring tools to ready the field Sunday. The season opener moved from May 1 to May 8.

Guardians Seek Oil and Gas Leases In Clare Court

Tourist Park Facilities Improve For Summer Season
The Chamber of Commerce and local businessmen are preparing the tourist park for summer with ten picnic benches ready for painting and lettering by Bab s Sign Service. The city baseball team, aided by a city tractor, has graded the new diamond and expects to install the back stop by Sunday. Lance Thayer, representing the Chamber, has worked to secure a suitable field and equipment for the ball team.
