Clare County Commissioners halt countywide zoning progress
The Clare County Board voted unanimously to take no action on a countywide zoning ordinance until a majority of townships approve. The move ends four years of effort, abolishes the zoning board, and leaves $2,000 owed to Environetic Research. Ten townships opposed, urging township control of local zoning. Ramona Zielinski pressed for $249 to support a regional health plan for the 14-county district.
