Linn County Observes National Retarded Children's Week
Linn County Association for Retarded Children presents a public program at 2 00 p m Sunday November 20 at Hus Memorial Presbyterian Church Cedar Rapids. Greetings by Ira Larson honorary chairman and county superintendent of schools, entertainment by Center for Mentally Retarded students, exhibits of services via public schools and the center. Edward Hanlon executive director notes the association operates the center and receives support from Linn County and parent groups, with programs for preschool day care school age and adults. National Retarded Children's Week aims to spotlight mental retardation issues affecting families and communities.
