Sixty CIO Delegates Press Washington for Labor Bills
Sixty CIO delegates from Cincinnati traveled to Washington this week to back the Murray-Patman Employment Bill and Kilgore Unemployment Compensation Act along with other worker measures. Led by Arthur Hartmann of the Greater Cincinnati Industrial Union Council, the group joined delegations from United Auto Workers Amalgamated Clothing Workers United Electrical Radio and Machine Workers United Steelworkers and other CIO unions. Hartmann called the legislation vital to organized labor and noted continued delegations through Oct. 8.
