Double murder ends quarrel over shortage in Wall Street
New York October 17 William C Turner former President and Treasurer of the Climax Bottling Company shot and killed W J Mallard Secretary Treasurer and Robert Hamilton President with an automatic pistol in Cantor Adams McIntyre law offices in Wall Street during a noon meeting over a $5100 shortage. Turner shot Mallard then Hamilton and shot himself. Mallard was 36 and Hamilton head of J T A Hamilton glass. Turner 45 lived at Mt Vernon NY and was Odell kin. Authorities found a second loaded revolver on him.
