Judge A B Anderson dismissed criminal libel proceedings against Delavan Smith and Charles Williams publishers of The Indianapolis News. The judge criticized dragging citizens to Washington for trial and noted the papers had a duty to print news and draw inferences for the people amid Panama Canal controversy.
