At least six people were killed in Ohio auto accidents yesterday with more than a dozen injured. Victims include Eugene Klein 28 near Toledo Thomas Conly 49 at Columbus and Hiram Eveland 20 at Chillicothe. A 10 year old girl was injured in another city incident.

Two policemen and a negro woman were injured when Dennis Brashwell 27 Negro of 912 Churchill avenue collided with a police reserve car at York and John streets. Brashwell cited for reckless driving. Officers McCullough 30 Underwood avenue and Grampke 34 Denham street bruised. Passenger Roadie Elias 40 Wehrman avenue also hurt. All taken to General Hospital. Damage included a plate glass window at Luehman Grocery. Other injuries from separate accidents reported nearby with several pedestrians hurt.

The steamer Laurel bound from Portland to East coast ports ran ashore on Peacock Spit at the Columbia River mouth and broke apart as the crew of thirty two clung to the wreck. Death of Rev. Louis Tieman at Jubilee Dinner

Convicts Escape From Western Penitentiary In Packing Boxes
Two convicts labeled Daredevil Spangler and Honolulu Charlie Bisman escaped by hiding in packing cases from the Western Penitentiary welfare department.
