Christian Ahrens 82 founder of the Ahrens Engine Company in Milwaukee was shot in the chest in his side yard and is in critical condition. Henry Bremer 65 of Francisco Street was arrested on suspicion of the shooting after witnesses described a gray suit sailor hat and black mustache. Bremer denies the crime and relatives say the assailant had recently sought a loan from Ahrens.
