Toy Wagon Tragedy Kills Two Children in Car Collision
A five year old boy Watty Whitehead died instantly after a wooden toy wagon was struck by Highland avenue car No 7 driven by Motorman William Ballard. His friend Agnes Ridge aged five died later at Christ hospital after being mangled in the crash on McCormack avenue. Witnesses reported the children shouted a warning to the car before the collision. The event occurred shortly before 6 PM and the car halted with both bodies found on the street.
