The crew, mistaking clouds for land, neared Molokai and then Oahu within hours. The Southern Cross radioed sighting Molokai at 11 minutes before arrival, and by noon reported crossing Oahu toward Wheeler Field. The aircraft landed at Wheeler Field after flying 2,100 miles without a guiding radio beam. Two ships, the Maliko and the Manoa, were sighted and radioed during the voyage.
