William Rosenthal Jr., 18, of Mt. Healthy, found guilty of manslaughter in the death of Louise Fox, 63, of Nannesburg, Ohio. Fox was struck by Rosenthal’s car on Springdale Pike November 1 while walking to a Peach Grove church social. The jury deliberated 3 hours 45 minutes. Rosenthal faces 1 to 20 years with sentencing set for April 11 by Judge Hurley. Mrs. Fox’s husband Henry testified he was just ahead and searched for his wife after the impact. Pieces of apple pie clung to the car’s radiator. Mrs. Fox was carrying pie at the time. The case drew wide attention in Mt. Healthy and area.

They traveled third class and were sent to Ellis Island. Both father and son will work in Welsh mines while Owen pursues study in literature and philosophy at Cardiff University.
Walter Rasmussen a 47 year old field representative for the National Safety Council and organizer of the Cleveland Safety Council was sentenced to four years in the penitentiary for bigamy in Cleveland Ohio on April 3.
