Smile Cookies raise funds for Thunder Bay kids and toys
In Thunder Bay Tim Hortons Smile Cookie week from April 29 to May 5 raised 96000 for George Jeffrey Children's Foundation and Toys for Tots run by the Thunder Bay Professional Firefighters’ Association. It marks the seventh year and the highest local total.

Nolalu Jam Nights grow in popularity at village centre
Nolalu residents organize Jam Nights at the community centre on Highway 588. Organizers say the fledgling series attracts more attendees than expected and may require upgrading the sound system. Admission is free with a concession stand. Friday features bluegrass and country. Saturday shifts to rock and alternative rock with doors at 5 30 and 7 30 p m.
