Remains found at Nipigon site pause Lake Superior project
Centuries-old human remains discovered at the Nipigon construction site for the Lake Superior National Marine Conservation Area halt work since May 21. Parks Canada confirms adult Indigenous male remains likely pre 17th century. Authorities review further archeological monitoring and Indigenous input. Forensic tests earlier ruled out human bone.
