House Struck by Lightning in Cowgill Addition
The Stafford residence in Cowgill addition occupied by County Attorney Greene was struck by lightning Tuesday evening about six. The bolt damaged plastering in three rooms and demolished the chimney while burning the electric wiring. no one in the house was injured.

Mrs Vankuiken Funeral Held For First Local High School Graduate
The funeral of Mrs. Van Kuiken formerly Miss Zay Carson was held Saturday afternoon at the Methodist church with Rev Hall in charge. Pallbearers included neighbors Webber and Blankema and graduates Jefferson and Daley. Interment followed at Choteau cemetery.

Mail Service Resumed After Washout Delays
The first mail to reach Chateau since the 20th arrived Wednesday night from the Teton bridge area. A Great Falls train muddled by washout, twenty autos and drays aided in moving passengers mail and express to town. Sixty passengers were on the train with fifteen bound for Bynum, service to Great Falls resumes as weather allows.
