The report by Sidney Miller shows $2 296 181.60 available for investment July 1 1917 after deducting outstanding bids. Since November 1916 eighteen farm loans totaling $34 400 have been made. loans are 500 to two fifths of land value, 3 to 10 years, six percent interest, with ten percent prepayment after three years. Applicants must submit title abstract and $10 with loan requests. the $10 is refunded if approved or rejected, otherwise kept. Marks Wellman learned of Dick Wellman’s death in Walla Walla. he was an Augusta local.
