Private Swanson Dies of Wounds in World War I
Official war department report states Private John Swanson of the 159th Infantry in overseas service died November 26 from wounds received in action. He served after June and was a rancher in Teton county before enlisting. His sisters, Mrs Selma Phillips of Great Falls and Mrs Albert Schobert of Belt Park, survive him.

Mrs Selma Armeda Bjork aged about 30 wife of Aug W Bjork lived six miles north of Fairfield died at the Fairfield temporary hospital on Saturday Dec 14 of influenza. Her remains were taken to the Connor Undertaking Establishment at Chateau for burial preparations. Funeral services are set for Saturday in this city with burial at Chateau cemetery.
