Murdered former Teton citizen tied to Collins homestead
Charles G. Moulton a 45 year old former Atkinson resident and Collins homesteader was shot and killed by neighbor Ed Forks in West Point Nebraska. Moulton taught in Collins and served as postmaster before moving to West Point in 1919 where he worked as a bookkeeper and later in insurance. He leaves a wife and four children along with siblings and extended relatives.

Choteau Visitor’s Daughter Suffers Serious Arm Burn
Mrs. Marion Davis of Bole reported her daughter Mrs. E. M. Bammel sustained a seriously burned arm when a jar of Swiss chard being canned by Mrs. Bammel exploded. She was rushed to Choteau hospital for treatment.

Dads and Bulldogs Clash Ends in Bulldog Victory
The Dads, also called the Yannigans, clashed with the Bulldogs on the local diamond. A weather front brought chill winds as the Bulldogs overwhelmed the Dads by about 22 to 5, with lineups featuring Al lum, Byler, Leary, Moye, and Munson for the Dads and Dale, Jourdonnais, Bleecker, Ness, Loomis, and "Chick" Upman for the Bulldogs.

James Looney of this city has accepted a position with the United States reclamation service and began duties Monday. A Montana State College engineering graduate, he previously worked for United Fruit on Jamaica, Montana Power at Great Falls, and most recently International Harvester. He plans to move his family to Fairfield when a suitable home is found as Sun River project plans extend.

Clint Core won the Chateau Country Club championship for the second year in a row, defeating J. J. Hannan 8-7 in a 36 hole final played in strong wind and cold. Work Started Monday on Improvement Projects in Teton District
About 15 men were moved to Two Shacks on the north fork of Sun River and to the Teton river country west of Chateau for three projects in the Lewis and Clark National Forest. A pack train and truck transport supplied two camps with crews led by foreman M A King and cook Mortensen. Workers include ex-service members, many with dependents, as the public works program operates under federal direction.

Young men say goodbye to CCC camp Ford Creek
Five trucks and a passenger car carried 65 CCC workers from Ford Creek through Choteau to Glacier Park station to join detachments heading to Camp Dix New York. Dinty Moore drove one truck and returned to help with forest projects. A second group may depart around October first with some re-enlisting to go to southern California. The campers praise their Montana summer, note improved access to Bench Mark ranger station, and promise letters and autographs as they say farewell.
