Mrs. Kyils Bruce Dies In Kerosene Lamp Fire

Mrs. Kyils Bruce perished from severe burns after filling a nearly spent lamp when it exploded. Her husband was injured trying to smother the blaze as the house burned and neighbors aided, with the couple living west of Chateau. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Chateau with relatives in attendance.
