Burial services for Mrs Beda Christina Noreen of Tacoma Washington were held at Chateau cemetery in the family plot. The Rev A B Gravdal officiated with earlier services in Tacoma under Rev Clarence J Johnson. Born in Sweden she moved to Tacoma five years ago. She was a Lutheran member. Survivors include two daughters Mrs Harvey Wilkinson of Mullan Idaho and Mrs Clyde Kraber of Seattle, one son Carl M of Phillipsburg Montana, seven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

Fairfield Texaco garage fire causes ten thousand dollar loss
A blaze at Mark's Texaco Service in Fairfield gutted the garage and destroyed two cars and about ten thousand dollars in parts and tools. Firefighters contained the flames within five minutes after it started at 2 30 p m near the main street, with gasoline spray complicating suppression.

Two New Bus Routes to Start Here on Monday
Steel and Sons and Glacier Transportation announce two daily bus routes starting Sept. 15 linking Great Falls with Chateau Augusta and Livingston. One morning run departs Great Falls at 7 30 a m reaching Chateau at 9 00 and Augusta later. an evening run leaves at 5 05 p m reaching Augusta at 7 15 and Great Falls at 8 30.

Planes Stop At Airport on Sunday Morning
Fifty four planes and 110 Montana pilots registered at the local airport during a stopover on the statewide air tour sponsored by the Montana Pilots association. Former Choteau Man Foils Baxter Hotel Hold-up
Leroy Larson formerly of Choteau, now night clerk at the Baxter hotel in Bozeman, fought off a gunman during an attempted robbery. He sustained three blows to the head and four stitches but helped police by giving a detailed description leading to the suspect, David Cooper Nelson of Great Falls, later captured at a bus depot. Nelson had prior prison terms for felonies in Montana and Michigan.
