Trexler Palomino Takes First Place
Lady Sandstrom palomino mare owned by C. D. Trexler of Bynum won first place at the Great Falls horse show held last Sunday at the fair grounds. The palomino defeated all ages in its class among 185 horses from Montana. Trophies were awarded at a banquet of the Stockman's club Sunday night. members praised the show’s success.

Horse Kills Local Man Dragged by Flying Rope on Highway 89
George E. Elford, 67, resident for three years, died when a horse he led to water became frightened and dragged him three quarters of a mile on Highway 89 near Chateau. Ralph Hickman and Sam Elford stopped the horse and cut the rope. Funeral services were held at the Lutheran church with Rev. A. B. Gravdal officiating. Buried in Choteau cemetery. Survived by wife, Samual Elford, and several siblings. Born November 13, 1879 in Minnesota. lived in Wibaux Montana Rochester Minnesota Sheridan Wyoming Alberta Canada before moving to Chateau area in 1943.

Air Tour Descent Draws Hundreds To Choteau Airport
Choteau prepares for a state wide air tour with more than 100 planes landing between 7 and 9 am Sunday. About 225 passengers will be ferried to Legion club rooms for breakfast hosted by local service clubs before planes depart at 10 am toward Great Falls and Lewistown.
