About 80 Hutterites from near Lethbridge Canada closed a deal to purchase the 7000 acre Sullivan ranch, eight miles west of Pendray, for roughly 20 dollars an acre. The state of Montana v Roy Killip of Fairfield charges Killip with manslaughter in the death of 11 year old Richard Parcel who was struck on a highway near Fairfield. The first group of Montanan bodies returned from abroad was honored at Hardin with a Choteau unit acting as color guard, pallbearers, and eight navy men. Funeral Services For Mrs. Daley Held Wednesday
Funeral services for Mrs Halvor Daley 49 of Fairfield were held at the Methodist church with Rev. Bert A. Powell and Rev. H L Engdahl officiating. Burial followed in Chateau cemetery. Mrs Daley wife of Halvor Daley a Fairfield real estate agent and former Teton county clerk and recorder, died after a year plus illness at a Great Falls hospital. She was born Frances Forbes in Salesville Montana and was a Montana State College graduate. She and Halvor Daley married in Bozeman in 1921 and lived in Los Angeles 1921 to 1928 before moving to a ranch near Dupuyer and later Chateau. Surviving are her husband and three sons.

Halloween Party For Cub Scouts Successful Event
The Cub scout Halloween party drew about 40 parents and 100 children at the high school gym. The program opened with the Pledge of Allegiance and cub activities, followed by a scouting overview by Rev. T. M. Burleson and a den quiz. Cub ranks were explained by Bobby Munson, Jackie Moore, Bobbie O’Neil, Jimmy Howard and Ronny Hinman as Superintendent Robert Graham praised uniforms and badges and urged more den mothers. Awards honored advancing cubs and den mothers were urged.

The 36th annual meeting of Teton's Oldest Settlers will be held at the Legion and Odd Fellows hall on Thursday November 13. To be an Old Timer candidate one must be 51 and have spent 30 years in Montana and 20 years in Teton county. Banquet at 6 30 p m and dancing at 9 30 p m with various committee assignments listed.
