Choteau Lodge No. 11 delegate C. H. Ferris and Queen Rebekah Lodge delegate Mrs. L. G. Passmore return from Missoula where the grand lodge met with 950 delegates. Officers elected include Schumaker of Glasgow as grand master Bollinger of Bozeman as deputy grand master Kemp of Missoula and Dodson of Bozeman as grand secretary and grand treasurer. The next convention will be in Kalispell A monster parade highlighted the event. The grand lodge also voted to rebuild the Montana Odd Fellows Home at Herena and to reduce representation to one delegate per lodge plus one vote per 100 members.

Absent Voter Ballot Sent By Choteau Air Mail
John A. Curry of Power now in California becomes the first recipient of an air mail letter from Choteau containing an absent voter ballot. The letter was sent by County Clerk W H Webb to speed delivery for return by election day November second. Webb had 56 absent voter applications received, some returned, others voted at the courthouse by electors absent from the county.

Dutton farmer spends night in jail after rampage
Charles H. Losey of the Dutton community went on a rampage over a grain crop attachment by the bank. He asked Sheriff Collins to jail him at Chateau, then spent a night on the floor refusing a bed. He later agreed to terms with the Dutton bank and returned to his ranch.

Beck & Walker Minstrel Troupe, nicknamed The Pick of Dixie, will perform at Choteau high school auditorium on Monday November 8 under Cho teau Post No 6 American Legion. Funeral services held for Miss Florence Daley
Funeral services for Miss Florence Daley 26 a former Choteau teacher were held at the Methodist church in Chateau yesterday afternoon. She died Monday at Deaconess hospital Great Falls after Brights disease. Born in 1906 at Madison Minnesota she moved to Choteau in 1902 and taught in Fairfield Conrad and Choteau schools. She is survived by her parents a sister Verna and three brothers and other relatives.

Judge E K Cheadle of Lewistown will address Choteau and Teton county voters at the court house at eight o clock Friday evening on campaign issues. The event is organized by the Republican county central committee. Shipping Association Unloads Seed Cleaner at Fairfield
The Teton County Shipping Association recently acquired a Clipper seed cleaner and unloaded it at Fairfield. Le on Snyder and J. E. Hodgskiss prepared the equipment for installation to serve Fairfield farmers, mainly for alfalfa and clover seed cleaning. The group also bought seed sacks, plans carload sales of Fairfield clover seed, and will bid on November 3 for the Thanksgiving turkey shipment with prices announced the next week.

Four year old Harry Edward Van Bolcum, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Van Bolcum, died after a sudden intestinal obstruction while being transported to Great Falls for surgery. Funeral services were held at the M. E. church in Chateau with Rev. Robert B. Culbertson officiating. pallbearers were four little boys. Burial followed in the local cemetery.
