Teton county plans to install a $2,700 rectigraph at the courthouse to copy deeds mortgages wills and other documents photographically on both sides of sensitized paper. The machine will operate without a dark room and will reduce manual copying costs, enabling 24 hour service once backlogs are cleared.

Chris Henderson 74, longtime Choteau Public School custodian and janitor, died Thursday after a two week illness. A familiar figure to thousands of Choteau students who graduated from the grade school, he retired four years ago.

Funeral for Henderson to honor longtime school official
Henderson served the school system from 1928 to spring 1942. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Choteau Episcopal church with Rev. E. M. Logstrom officiating. Interment followed in Choteau cemetery. Pallbearers included Tom Dellno, Eddie Howard, Jim Mullaney, C. A. Cap Peterson of Choteau, and Robert Anderson and Leonard Olson of Fairfield. Born in Hammerfest Norway on April 6, 1872, he came to America in 1898, lived in Chicago, then moved to Teton county in 1902. He worked at the Burch ranch near Augusta and for Johnny Sullivan of Pendroy for 11 years. He married Charlotte Barnum in Great Falls on Oct. 22, 1922. she survives him and there were no children.
