Hospital fund drive nears goal for $120000 project

Teton Memorial Hospital association reports $5 835 80 raised toward a 15000 goal in the fall drive. An additional 9165 would unlock a 40000 federal grant and permit construction. Donations from local boosters include Chateau Hospital doctors Knudtzon Lumber Co Mrs Jaumette and many individuals listed for the week.

Contributions to Teton Memorial Hospital total toward a $15,000 goal with $13,000 reported. The fund shows multiple gifts ranging from $1,000 to $12,000 as donors support the hospital.

Hospital Board To Meet Friday

President Bob Davison of the Teton Memorial association said a special meeting of association board members is scheduled for tomorrow night at 8 o'clock in Legion. Solicitations and additional plans for the fall drive will be discussed. Davison said a number of solicitors whose names may be announced later are being most helpful in the drive.

Milo Johnson federal agent of the FBI will address Choteau on juvenile delinquency tonight at 8 at the Choteau high school auditorium. The public is invited. Alva Larson directs a Lutheran Brotherhood three act comedy to be shown Friday November 22.

County School Abolishment Contingent on Voters Here

The county high school fate hinges on a special ballot next Tuesday in the general election. Voters in Choteau and Teton county are urged to vote For abolishing the county high school and establish a district school to allow local funding for building, faculty, and curriculum.

Old Timers Meet in Teton With Banquet Planned

The Teton Old Timers will hold their annual meeting November 14 at the Masonic Temple at 7 p m with a banquet at $1 50 per plate. Officials named committees for reception membership table and dance and music with duties assigned to Mrs C S McDonald Joe Fallon and others. Membership requires 51 years of age residency 30 years in the state and 18 in Teton County with dues of $1 for couples and 50 cents for singles.

Rifle Shoot to Feature Turkey Prizes at VFW Event

Rifle and shotgun experts may display skill this Sunday at the Chateau post VFW turkey shoot on the golf course hill. More than 50 turkeys offered for best shooting at traps. Small bore rifles and shotguns allowed. participants bring guns and ammo. The VFW provides skeet targets. Shooting begins at 12 noon with lunch served in the afternoon.

Lucille Carlson daughter of Mr and Mrs C Carlson Farmington united in a double ring ceremony with Raymond Weist of Agawam at Trinity Lutheran Chateau officiated by Rev Bern ard Gravdal. Attendant was Mrs Henrietta Halverstadt best man Seth Cook. Reception for 100 followed and couple honeymoon in Fort Peckham Montana. Weist a World War II veteran with active service in the South Pacific discharged 1945.

Patricia Moulton Weds Clark Inbody in Kalispell Ceremony

Patricia Ann Moulton daughter of Mr and Mrs D H Moulton of Great Falls and formerly Choteau married Clark Inbody of Choteau at Epworth Methodist church Kalispell. Attendants were Mrs Willard Paulus and her husband. The couple plans to live on their ranch near Collins after a wedding trip.

Hall sale funds aid Teton Memorial Hospital

The Bole Community Club raised 2124.50 from selling the Community hall at Bole and donated 2775.50 proceeds to charity after the sale. donations included 500 to Fairfield Health Center and 100 to the Cancer Control Society with 50 kept for expenses. The hall, bought by Fairfield Feed and Seed, had stood over 30 years as a Bole landmark.

Census Department Seeks Interviewers for Chateau Work

The federal census bureau plans offices at Choteau and needs four or five interviewers for a year round permanent post with about one week per month of work. Pay is 76 cents an hour plus five cents mileage. high school education and a car required. Veterans receive preference. apply via Willard E. Cub Scouts Host Halloween Party At Legion Pavilion

About 20 cub scouts from pack 51 enjoyed their annual Halloween party at the Legion pavilion Tuesday night. They played games for about an hour and had refreshments. Best costume winners were Bobby O Neil, Gary Franklin, Dan Lindseth, and Rodney Briscoe, who received electric soldering iron kits. Costume judges were John S. Pierce and Martin Hanson.

General Election Looms In Teton County Races

Voters head to polls next Tuesday to choose nominees for six state posts and 14 county offices. Key contests feature Leif Erickson and Zales Ecton for U S Senate and Wesley D’Ewart versus John Holmes for House of Representatives delegate, with other races including railroad and public service commissioner and supreme court seats. Incumbent Walt A Edwards faces M B Bolland for District 8 county commissioner, while J A Shoquist runs against Riley Hensley in district two.
