Death of John Bivens in Iowa Reported
Mrs. Fred Woodward returned from Oelwein Iowa after her father John Bivens 65 died of heart failure on October 2. He leaves a widow two daughters and one son. The Bivens family visited Teton County annually for 15 years and were well known locally. Interment was at the Oelwein cemetery with Masonic lodge involvement.

Red Cross Aid for Quake Sufferers in Helena
Miss Margaret Nagle, chairman of the Teton Red Cross, received a St. Louis message stating Red Cross relief will cover earthquake sufferers in Helena. Disaster Director E. S. Transue says about 300 families will seek aid. Governor Cooney plans a state proclamation. Public contributions are urged to go to the St. Louis Red Cross office, while not interfering with the annual roll call.

Mamuzich Seeks Higher Pilot Rating in Helena Tests
John Mamuzich, already a government licensed pilot, underwent tests in Helena last week for a higher pilot rating. An aviation inspector granted temporary authority to operate a transport plane until his permanent license is issued. Mamuzich, long in flying, joined Ben Chalmers of Chateau in purchasing a plane from Jellison Flying Service of Shelby. He has had notable flying experiences including a mountain emergency with his brother-in-law Mr. O Neil between Spokane and Missoula when engine separation forced a safe landing.

Mrs Anna Keogh left Tuesday with George Heddington for Jacksonville Alabama. She has lived in Teton county since 1915, recently sold her Gap district home to Rolland Ferris, and a public sale at the ranch drew a large crowd. An adjoining half section was sold to John Teenyes. she plans to winter in Alabama and return in spring. Mr Hed dington has worked at the ranch. Mr Keogh died about three years ago.
