Prison terms given to pair in grain theft case
Ed Carter and George Kelly were sentenced to one year each in the state penitentiary after pleading guilty to first degree burglary for stealing 20 sacks of grain from Granville Bradford’s granary in March. Both were held on $1,000 bail and later taken to Deer Lodge.

Ericson Opens Garage on Main Avenue in Chateau
O. J. Ericson opened Monday a garage and repair shop in Chateau, located in the Malone & Porter building on Main avenue, formerly the A. & E Garage. He worked with A. & E until dissolution, came to Chateau in 1927, and has lived here since a year at Pendray. He recently sold his home and now resides in the Rachel Edwards house on Third street northeast near Spring Creek.
