Stockmen Shipping Association Returns From Chicago Shipment
The Teton County Shipping Association received Monday returns on two car loads of cattle sent last week to Chicago. Canners brought 3.50 per cwt, cows averaged about 5, and heifers and steers ranged 4 to 7, including a 4 year old steer over 1,500 pounds. Shippers named were Peter Sandmo, J W Gitchel, H E Passmore, Paul Jeromo, Nick Wellenstein and Jelen A Edgar. The stock fed was generally poor due to drought.

War veterans may enroll up to October 31
Enrollment for World War II veterans in the civilian conservation corps is extended to October 31 per H. M. Daley of the Chateau Post American Legion, from Dr. H. C. Watts at Fort Harrison. Hell Box Spilled At Old Printers Reunion

County Agent Notes and Drought Relief Updates
The county council will meet at the court house in Chateau on Saturday October 31 with reports due at 10:00. Sectional meetings will follow with leaders and one active member from each club required to attend. The rodent contest awards will be announced. Cotton seed cake shipments and drought relief certificates offer savings of about 140 to 350 per car, with certificates available at the county agent’s office. State plans indicate 90 percent of 1936 agricultural conservation payments may be issued now, with the remainder after final determinations.

Injured in Fall From Basement Stairway
Mrs. C James Smith suffered a fractured rib and bruises Monday afternoon while preparing for a Catholic Ladies auxiliary dinner. She fell down stairs into the basement at Social Center hall and was taken to Maynard hospital after stepping into the basement instead of a closet.
